Our commitment to equal opportunity housing

Equal Housing Opportunity

HTX Relo is committed to complying fully with the Fair Housing Act, the Texas Fair Housing Act, and all other applicable federal, state, and local fair housing laws. We believe that everyone deserves equal access to housing opportunities regardless of background.

The Fair Housing Act

The federal Fair Housing Act, Title VIII of the Civil Rights Act of 1968 (as amended), prohibits discrimination in the sale, rental, and financing of housing based on race, color, religion, sex, national origin, familial status, and disability.

The Fair Housing Act covers most housing transactions including the sale and rental of housing, mortgage lending, homeowner insurance, and land use and zoning decisions.

Our Commitment

HTX Relo pledges to provide equal professional service without regard to the following classes, which include — but are not limited to — those protected under federal, state, and local laws:

Race
Color
Religion
Sex
National Origin
Familial Status
Disability
Sexual Orientation
Gender Identity
Age
Ancestry
Marital Status
Veteran Status
Source of Income

What This Means in Practice

We show properties and provide services to all persons equally, without regard to protected class status.

We do not steer clients toward or away from neighborhoods based on race, ethnicity, religion, or any other protected characteristic.

We provide the same quality of service, responsiveness, and professionalism to every client.

We present all available housing options that meet a client's stated criteria without bias.

We do not make representations about the racial, ethnic, or religious composition of any neighborhood.

We report and oppose any fair housing violations we become aware of in the course of our business.
